Try, Try Again

March 10, 2014
Hello Family and friends!
What a crazy week it has been. I am so grateful for all that God has given me! I have truly been blessed to serve here in Taiwan.
Monday night we decided to go door knocking in a place neither one of us has been to. We go and it was a lot of slammed doors in our faces but we did it with a smile on our face.
Then a man opens the door and we start talking to him. We were able to talk to him and share with him about the restoration. He was not willing to set up but he got our number.
Wednesday was crazy busy. We meet with Wang JM a less active in the morning. She feels that she does not have a testimony and so we decided to start sharing with her all the lessons again. We started with the Restoration. She told us she would come to church Sunday but her mom got sick and she needed to go take care of her.
We then meet with YoYo who is from Japan. She has read the whole BOM and had some questions. We took some time to answer her questions and share with her about the restoration.
We then had a set up with a Wang XS who is a referral. He is really special. He grew up in Zhong li and lived across from the Mormon elders. He then moved and again ran into the elders who gave him a BOM. He had some friends join the church and go on missions. He was never interested in meeting with the missionaries until recently he ran into the Elders again. We meet with him and shared the restoration. Our AWESOME member Zhang JM was willing to help us pei ke.
That night was English class. One of our members brought her classmate. What a miracle. I was really happy with that. For the spiritual thought I shared about the Plan of Salvation and shared a video.
Thursday was interviews with President Day. In our interviews we set Language, gospel, obedience, and other goals with him. I write down my goals and then head into my interview. He tells me there in one more goal I want to talk about at the end.  He then starts writing on my piece of paper then he turns the page so I can see it. He wrote
SPRINT TO THE FINISH LINE!!!!!
He told me I want to you get on the plane exhausted and pass out. I then want you to get home and do a victory lap.
I laughed, smiled, and told him I would do that!!
I am going to leave it all here in Taiwan figuratively and literally.
Thursday we were able to meet with Huang JM( that elders mom). She shared with us her conversion story. CRAZY! The day she meet the missionaries was the day her and her husband were going to commit suicide. The elders went a different way and so did she. The spirit led them to each other. It really reminded me how important it is to follow the spirit.
Saturday was Temple Tour day. I love being near the temple!
We started out with a tour to primary age kids. It was crazy but fine. Those kids are so adorable. The ward came from Tainan. (Dad served there) The parents took turns going in the temple and watching the kids. We sang songs and played I spy with the pictures.
Then we were able to give a tour to one of our LA's Lin JM. She is not sure what job offer to take and she decided to come do baptisms for the dead to get direction. We had a nice tour.
I love you all!!
